Who We Are

EB5 VisaFast is a member of the EB5 Coast to Coast group—one of the largest Regional Center operators in the U.S., with 12+ USCIS-approved Regional Centers covering 49 states. To date, over 600 investors have invested in projects sponsored by our network of Regional Centers.

This website is affiliated with EB5 Coast to Coast. Founded by Steve Smith in 2012, when he acquired his first Regional Center in Washington State, EB5 Coast to Coast has become a leading regional center owner and operator, with a comprehensive network covering 49 states. Beyond our role as a sponsoring Regional Center, we actively support capital raising for select projects. To date, we’ve successfully raised EB-5 capital for numerous ventures, with a strong emphasis on the behavioral health sector. We’re proud of our proven track record—not only in securing investment but in guiding our investors through every step of the EB-5 process, all the way through to I-829 approval.

Steve Smith

Founder and President

Steve has over a decade of experience in EB-5 and a successful 30+ year track record in commercial real estate development, with projects valued over $1 billion. Through his Regional Centers, he has helped hundreds of investors obtain green cards. 

Having emigrated from Taiwan with his parents, Steve has a personal connection to the EB-5 program. He finds the most fulfilling aspect of his profession to be the deep personal satisfaction he derives from helping others achieve their American dream and pursue happiness in this remarkable nation.

Carel van der Merwe

Carel began his EB-5 career in 2016, following two decades of experience in sales and client service roles within the financial services industry. As an immigrant himself, he takes great pride in helping families navigate the EB-5 process and achieve their own version of the American dream.

At EB5 Coast to Coast, he plays a key role in supporting investors through rural and national interest investments—project types that qualify for expedited and priority USCIS processing under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act. His approach is grounded in experience, empathy, and a strong commitment to guiding investors every step of the way.

Harry is based in Seoul, Korea and heads up our Asian agency business. Before joining EB5 Coast to Coast Harry had several prominent roles at investment banks.

Diana Harris

Diana joined the company in 2012, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. She supports operational leadership, and acts as a liaison between a variety of departments. Diana attended Seattle Pacific University where she studied computer programming, project management and web development. She’s a Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society member, and is esteemed with both a President’s Honor Scholastic Achievement Award, and Faculty Honor’s Award.

Qendrese Sadriu-Rrustemi

Prior to joining EB5 Coast to Coast in 2023, Q spent 8 years as MD at American Immigration Group where she worked directly with the CEO to source the most qualified and sound EB-5 investment opportunities. She managed all aspects of the EB-5 business and led American Immigration Group’s partnerships and representations around the world . Prior to that Q was employed by JP Morgan Chase where she managed business relationships, financing, and investments for large corporations with complex needs.
