The Advantage of Investing Through a Regional Center

To attain Regional Center status, an organization must submit an I-956 application to USCIS for evaluation. Upon approval, Regional Centers can sponsor projects, allowing EB-5 investors to pool their capital alongside others and count direct, indirect, and induced job creation.

A notable advantage of investing in a project sponsored by a Regional Center is the inclusion of direct, indirect, and induced jobs towards meeting the requisite job creation requirements. In contrast, projects lacking Regional Center sponsorship can only consider direct job creation. As a result, the majority of EB-5 investments in the United States are directed towards Regional Center sponsored projects.
